David M. Wilder

David Wilder David Wilder has served on the BankTennessee board since 2007. While most of his career was devoted to real estate investments, David Wilder created and led many different types of businesses.

He was president of Wilder Construction. Based in Memphis, Tennessee, the company constructed commercial properties, apartments in addition to school and hospital work. David was also a part owner and a board member of Longtown Supply, a family-run agricultural company. A licensed realtor and fiscal agent, he created Wilder Realty Company, a building and development company in West Tennessee. 

David and partners formed Resource Industries of Alabama, a hazardous waste site and one of the largest of its type in the United States. An instrument and multi-engine rated pilot, he and partners created Ken Guthrie Aircraft Sales and traded planes throughout the country.

An avid golfer, he built Quail Ridge Golf Course in 1992 and continues to own it today. David also served on the boards for Chickasaw, Colonial and Ridgeway Country clubs. He is a member of The Honors Course, Olde Florida Golf Club, Burnt Pine and Ridgeway Country club. 

Active in the community throughout his career, David is a former chairman of the Town of Collierville Industrial Development board and is a former member of the Collierville Planning Commission. David was also a board member for the athletics department at the University of Tennessee Knoxville and on its development council as well as to the development council at University of Memphis. 

David also served on the finance committee for Braden and Collierville Methodist churches and was as a member of the board of directors for St. George's Independent School and Wesley Housing Corporation, a Methodist ministry.

In 1970, David graduated from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville with a Bachelor of Science in marketing. He was a First Lieutenant in the Tennessee National Guard.

David is a member of Church of the Holy Apostles in Collierville. Married to Patti, they have 2 children Jarod and Whitney. Jarod is married to Candace, and they have a son named Johnson. Whitney is married to Jesse.
