Dr. David Hank Wright
Dr. Wright is the visionary founder of The Pet Hospitals, a network of seven veterinary hospitals serving Collierville and the greater Shelby County region. In his role as Medical Director, he helped guide the hospitals’ growth, standards, and care philosophy, overseeing both medical excellence and strategic expansion.
A proud alumnus of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine (Class of 1988), Dr. Wright's dedication and impact earned him the Outstanding Veterinary Practitioner in Tennessee award in 2008. Over the past decade, he has also channeled his passion for innovation into creating efficient, customized software systems that streamline hospital operations and elevate patient care.
Beyond veterinary medicine, Dr. Wright contributes meaningfully to the wider business community and is active in local and regional real estate as an investor and developer. Additionally, he lends his leadership to the board of directors at BankTennessee. He recently completed a six-year appointment to the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission, appointed by the governor, and currently serves as a director for The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Foundation. He also serves as a board adviser for Terravet REIT, a national leader in veterinary real estate and serves on the board of Heartlife Soulcare a local faith based counseling group. Finally, Dr. Wright serves his faith community at Harvest Church Memphis as a member of the elder board, and capital improvement committee among others.
Dr. Wright is active in agriculture and cherishes time on his family’s farm alongside his wife, Paige, their seven children, dogs, cats, and several honeybee hives.
