MEMPHIS, Tenn., August 21, 2018 – President and Chief Executive Officer Jim Rout announced Dustey Walley has joined BankTennessee as senior vice president and commercial loan officer. “We look forward to working with Dustey. With over 20 years in the industry, Walley has worked for various banks in Jackson and Harrison Counties along the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Over the course of his career, Walley has served as vice president and commercial business banker with Hancock Bank in Ocean Springs, Miss., as well as senior vice president, loan officer and mentor with both Community Bank and The First Bank in Coast, Miss.
 
Walley is involved in community outreach and has spent a great deal of time serving as a volunteer for multiple churches, charities and organizations, including Ocean Springs Education Foundation, Kiwanis of Ocean Springs, Back Pack Buddies for Jackson County and the school districts of both Oceans Springs and Pascagoula Counties. Appointed by Governor Phil Bryant, Walley serves with the board of directors on the Mississippi Home Corporation.
 
Dustey Walley is also a championship barbecue cook. For the second year in a row, he and his Hometown BBQ Team was the grand champion during the 2018 Super Bulldog Weekend in Starkville, Mississippi. He also recently set a Guinness World Record for the largest single serving pulled pork sandwich. Weighing in at 2,396 lbs., the pork was donated to soup kitchens along the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

He won the event beating Emeril Lagasse and also won the People’s Choice Award. Aarón Sanchez, an American chef and television personality, was one of the judges. He has also cooked for many notables and elected officials including Governor Phil Bryant of Mississippi.
 
He earned a bachelor of business administration from Mississippi State University and taught banking classes in high schools on the coast. Walley works out of the main office at 1125 West Poplar Avenue in Collierville.
